Scotland has some of the most ambitious climate targets in the world — a 75% reduction in emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2045. But as Scotland’s Climate Week reminds us each year, ambition alone isn’t enough. Delivery depends on collaboration, creativity, and a shared determination to make progress tangible.
That belief was the starting point for Copper Connect — our week-long series of conversations held during Climate Week 2025. Across energy, water, infrastructure and communication, we brought together clients, partners and changemakers to focus on one question: how do we move from ambition to action?
What emerged was an encouraging story of opportunity. From clean power and grid reform to the carbon value of water and the future skills driving a just transition, the message was clear — Scotland’s transition is already happening, and by working together we can accelerate it.
As global leaders meet in Belém for COP30, the world’s focus is once again on delivery — on turning words into results. A decade on from the Paris Agreement, the call for action over intention has never been louder. Copper Connect was designed in that same spirit: to create a space for practical dialogue, shared learning, and collective problem-solving that supports real progress on the ground.
