Challenge
The United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL) needed to improve the accessibility and impact of its scientific research to support public understanding of nuclear innovation and its role in achieving net zero.
Key challenges included:

Approach
Copper worked closely with UKNNL experts to deliver strategic editorial and creative content support, including:
- producing a flagship ‘topic report’ titled How sustainable is nuclear energy? and translating technical academic research into a 12-page, public-facing insight piece
- providing end-to-end editing, proofreading and narrative development to ensure clarity, accuracy and consistency
- developing a series of engaging case studies to highlight scientific breakthroughs across areas such as materials science, decontamination and international collaboration
- creating ongoing content that brings to life the people and impact behind the research, reinforcing the societal role of nuclear science.
