Challenge
Bute Energy is building renewable energy parks that are helping Wales to decarbonise. To help landowners understand the temporary impacts of transporting abnormal loads – such as turbine blades – through rural roads, the client needed to explain two key concepts:
- oversail – where blades pass over land adjacent to the road
- overrun – where vehicles require additional space beside the road for their wheels.
Approach
The client wanted an animated video in a specific style. One of our animators replicated the desired style. He also took advantage of living in rural Wales to capture video of his local landscape which he used to generate the animation.

Bute received cost-effective, clear oversail and overrun animations in Welsh and English to help them engage with landowners.
