Peter is a highly experienced writer with a talent for understanding, visualising and explaining complex technical and business concepts. Over the past 20 years, he has helped major international clients such as Shell and Acteon to communicate their energy-transition and decarbonisation strategies in ways that are simple, engaging and technically accurate. He works with our team of skilled writers, editors, proofreaders, designers and animators to create high-quality B2B marketing materials including technical articles, brochures, presentations, animations, websites and exhibition stands.
Peter leads Copper’s Content & Creative team, which works with clients directly and supports the wider business with writing and design services, including creating stakeholder engagement materials for major infrastructure projects.
He joined RSK Creative in 2004 as a technical writer and was the company’s managing director when the business merged with Copper in 2022. Before joining RSK, Peter worked for a geological consultancy and taught geography in a higher education institution. He has a PhD, awarded in 1999 for geological work in the Indian Himalaya, and has been a Fellow of the Geological Society (FGS) and Chartered Geologist (CGeol). He lives with his wife and two sons in Cumbria, UK, where he leads an active life, including competing in local fell races.
