Produced by Copper Consultancy in partnership with BMG Research, this report explores public attitudes towards onshore wind and the repowering of existing wind farms across Great Britain. Drawing on research with almost 500 adults, including communities living within 5km of 10 different existing wind farms, it examines levels of support, awareness, trust and perceived impacts.
The findings reveal broad support for both onshore wind and repowering, alongside a clear need for better engagement and greater public understanding. The report provides valuable insights for developers, policymakers and industry leaders seeking to deliver the next generation of onshore wind projects with communities at their heart.
