We respond to yesterday’s Spring Statement in our latest Report.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak delivered his Spring Statement in the midst of a cost of living and  energy crisis heightened by the background of war in Ukraine.

After a couple of years of  unprecedented Government spending, this Spring Statement was comparatively short on  big ticket announcements in areas such as  infrastructure or levelling up.

As we look to the next Autumn Budget and upcoming Energy Security Plan, the infrastructure and development sectors will be seeking assurances around plans for energy efficiency  and security to help us meet vital net zero targets and accelerate the transition to energy  independence.
