Copper directors Claire Gordon and Ross Hayman were transported to the ends of the earth in an awe-inspiring presentation by the world’s greatest living explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, at the annual conference of our research partner The Leadership Factor (TLF).

Sir Ranulph led the 250 delegates through the highs and lows of his extraordinary polar expeditions, the challenges of team-building and fund-raising, and also told the story of his life, his former military career and how he became, almost by accident, a household name as an adventurer. He showed how by overcoming barriers in the mind you can push yourself beyond the limits of what you thought possible.

The conference theme was ‘delivering a world class customer experience’. Sir Ranulph’s fellow speakers included industry leaders who spoke about the importance of understanding your customers’ needs and then changing your organisation’s behaviours, as well as its processes, to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty and profitability.
