August has been a busy month for the Planning Inspectorate and for Copper. Two of the major transport DCO applications we’re working on were accepted for examination.
The acceptance of the two projects – RiverOak Strategic Partner’s DCO proposal to reopen Manston Airport as a cargo and passenger airport in Kent, and Four Ashes Limited’s proposed new strategic rail freight hub the West Midlands Interchange – ensured Copper maintained its 100% success rate for DCO applications submitted to the Planning Inspectorate.
The progression of these applications follows six previous successful project applications, including North London Heat and Power, National Grid’s Hinkley Point C Electricity Connection, North Wales Wind Farms Connection, Atlantic Array Offshore Wind Farm, Brechfa Forest Wind Farm Connection and Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant.
We look forward to supporting our clients through the examination stage of the planning process.
