Copper has begun research for its second major deep-dive report into the British public’s attitudes to infrastructure.
It is the much-awaited follow-up to our ground-breaking Independent survey of attitudes to infrastructure in Britain, published in 2015, which was endorsed by Lord Adonis, chair of the National Infrastructure Commission.
The 2015 research showed that 87% of people support infrastructure investment and almost two thirds would like to be more involved in plan-making.
The second major attitudes to infrastructure report will delve even deeper into the public’s perception and understanding. Copper is working with TLF which specialises in designing and managing customer experience research programmes.
The first focus groups were held in Yorkshire, Birmingham and Bristol with more to come, and we’ll be carrying out national quantitative research in the summer.
Leading the new campaign, Copper Director Martin McCrink said this year’s report would be even more insightful than our first.
“We’re keen to find out more about what value the public places on infrastructure and the benefits it brings, as well as how external factors have impacted the public appetite for investment.”
