Copper maintains its 100% success rate for Development Consent Order (DCO) applications submitted to the Planning Inspectorate being accepted, as one of the major offshore wind farm projects we’re supporting with communications and consultation has recently been accepted for examination.
Vattenfall’s proposed Norfolk Boreas offshore wind farm’s DCO application has been accepted for examination by the Planning Inspectorate. If consented and constructed, Vattenfall’s Norfolk Boreas project will significantly contribute to the security of the UK’s energy supply through the generation of economically competitive, fossil fuel free electricity.
The progression of this application follows 10 previous successful project applications that Copper has supported. These include, the A303 past Stonehenge, A30 Chiverton to Carland Cross, Manston Airport, West Midlands Interchange, North London Heat and Power, Hinkley Point C Electricity Connection, North Wales Wind Farms Connection, Atlantic Array Offshore Wind Farm, Brechfa Forest Wind Farm Connection and Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant.
We look forward to supporting Vattenfall through the examination stage of the planning process.
