Copper Consultancy, the award winning infrastructure communications firm, has appointed Ceri Moyers as its People and Culture Director; a newly created role reflective of the business’ ongoing growth and expansion.

Ceri will be working directly alongside Managing Partners Ben Heatley and Martin McCrink to ensure the company’s culture both supports and enables Copper’s ambitions and that the business takes a market leading approach to investing and developing in people.

The creation of this role comes as Copper reports its record financial year and won the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Award for Specialist Consultancy of the Year 2021.

Copper’s track record and expert, consistent advice has led to ongoing repeat business and referrals throughout the infrastructure industry, while the restructure of the business into distinct Practice Areas; Construction, Infrastructure, Economic Development and Creative Services; has enabled clear new business targeting and opened up opportunities for opportunities to provide market leading services to new clients.

“Alongside our reputation for expertise, intelligence and professionalism we are proud of the fact that we’ve always been seen as a decent and friendly agency to work with”, says Martin McCrink, Managing Partner.

“We have big and exciting growth ambitions based on offering our clients the best possible services. We also want to stay true to what makes Copper different and special as a place to work for and with. The People and Culture role is critical to making this possible and to ensuring that those who help to realise our ambitions – our people – will get the most out of our working at Copper.”

Ceri said: “There are a lot of businesses out there that say people are their biggest asset or the most important part of their company and in creating a role to focus on People and Culture as a critical element of the business’ growth strategy, Copper is proving that they really mean it. Early engagement with the Copper team reveals that they admire businesses that have married expansion with a commitment to culture, values and people development, and using this context, it will be my responsibility to make sure Copper is a company they can all be proud of and which others are keen to join.”

Ceri is founder of Clarity Communications and previously led the People and Culture function at the Laing O’Rourke and Murphy JV for HS2. Ceri has extensive experience in the corporate communications industry, with over ten years in both agency and client side positions. She is an accredited professional coach, experienced facilitator and trainer and a professional mentor for The Mentoring Circle.
