Copper, the specialist infrastructure and built environment communications consultancy, has appointed Fiona Woolston and Paul Moore as account managers, working from its Birmingham and Bristol offices respectively.

This recruitment reflects Copper’s continued expansion, organic growth and new client wins, with new projects having been awarded from organisations including Sainsbury’s, Vattenfall, Murphy Group and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.

Fiona brings a wealth of expertise to the Copper team, having held communications roles in the charity and higher education sectors, as well as a range of editorial positions in the publishing industry. Her experience spans in-house and agency roles, with a particular focus on delivering public engagement and awareness campaigns for estates planning and development.

Based in Copper’s growing Birmingham office, Fiona’s down-to-earth and empathetic approach to engagement, as well as her in-depth local knowledge, will help Copper expand its offer in the Midlands.

Paul is a media specialist who has worked in consultancies in London and Bristol, managing public relations and stakeholder engagement campaigns for clients in the public and private sector. Currently focused on development and infrastructure, he has represented clients from a range of industries, including technology, retail, advertising, consumer products and management consultancy.

Linda Taylor, managing director of Copper, said: “So far, 2018 has been an exciting year for Copper, growing our team and UK footprint having recently opened an office in Birmingham. Fiona and Paul’s appointments add greater depth to our team which will play a key role in our continued growth.”

Fiona added: “Having coordinated communications and engagement initiatives across the third sector specialising in developing public support for projects which impact the local community, I can see that Copper has a special approach. I’m looking forward to drawing on my experiences from working on challenging projects to help Copper’s clients build excellent relations with their stakeholders.”

Paul said: “Copper’s client-led focus and reputation in the sector were hugely attractive for me and I’m delighted to have joined the team. I look forward to growing alongside the business well into the future.”
